Assessment Day in ETC

The exercises of Assessment Day were tested in three new groups by ETC at the beginning of the new academic year. 36 young people (27 boys, 9 girls) participated in the testing process which took place between 29 and 30 September. They all had a certificate called 'Mittlere Reife' which placed them somewhere between the basic and the final secondary degree of the German qualifying system. These young people between 15 and 20 years hope to choose a vocation and to find an apprenticeship, respectively.

Based on some positive experiences gained so far the school management have decided to regularly build the 5-6 hour set of RLG training into the two week competence assessment blocks that introduce one year courses, as a way of preparation for learning about vocations. They considered that the groups not participating in the trainings of the programme would form a specific control group for the project during this academic year.
